Professional Development Checklist
These are some simple and helpful reminders and resources to assist in planning for each and every session. While these meetings will certainly be helpful in improving the operational efficiencies of the district, they are also opportunities for professional development. As such, please review the following as you plan and prepare:
- Clarify the purpose and outcomes. Spend time communicating the purpose and intended outcomes at the beginning of each session.
- Be mindful that we serve a diverse group of students. Have you considered how to approach your topic differently from the lens of English Learners, Special Education students, and the Gifted and Talented?
- Check Public Folders for more resources
- Think about assessment and evaluation on the front end of each initiative. Plan to populate Data Director with any and all student achievement information that will help us to make progress.
- Check Public Folders for more resources, particularly the Assessment Information Folder
- Ask for feedback from your group to help guide ongoing improvements. You can use a simple online survey posted on the CUSD Professional Development Blog periodically to simplify the feedback process. Let Devin know when you want to access results.
